The concept for this body of work was born from a deep-seated desire to experience literature in a new and immersive way. As an avid reader and lover of the written word, I often found myself frustrated by the limitations of traditional book formats. I longed to be able to experience entire manuscripts and literary works all at once, without having to flip through pages and shuffle between chapters.

This desire led me to explore new ways of presenting literature that would allow readers to experience texts in their entirety with ease. After much experimentation, I arrived at a truly innovative approach: dissecting entire volumes, line by line, and assembling them onto a single sheet of paper. The result is a remarkable, visually stunning pieces that allows viewers to experience the entire work cover-to-cover in a single glance.

Each line coalesces onto the single sheet of paper, creating a visual and intellectual landscape that is both powerful and evocative. You are struck by the beauty and power of the language. I play with form and structure, creating a sense of rhythm. The viewer is able to wander through the text in a constant, uninterrupted flow. This unique format offers a completely different way of engaging with literature, one that encourages readers to explore the text in a non-linear fashion, and to discover new connections and insights with each reading.

As you delve deeper into the text, you become like a painter, adding your own colors and shades to the canvas. The words on the page become a palette, a range of hues and tones that you can mix and blend to create something new and unique. The thoughts and ideas that flow from the text become like brushstrokes, each one adding depth and texture to the canvas. With each passing moment, the page becomes a living, breathing work of art, a masterpiece that evolves and transforms as you engage with it. It is a reflection of your own creativity and imagination, a testament to the power of the human spirit to transform the world around us.

The number of lines of text in Isaac Newton's "Principia Mathematica" depends on the specific edition, formatting, and printing of the book. However, the first edition of the "Principia" published in 1687 has approximately 1200 pages, with each page consisting of around 45 lines of text. Therefore, a rough estimate of the number of lines in the first edition would be around 54,000 lines of text.

This unique form of sculpture utilizes primary shapes such as cylinders and geometric parallelepipeds to create a framework for internal mechanical structures, resulting in a piece that appears both weightless and ethereal due to the absence of any welding points. Each sculpture is machined in brass, lending it an unmistakable air of quality and precision. This makes these sculptures not only visually striking, but also a unique and innovative means of transmitting ancient texts.

Printing text from a roll of machined typeset letter involves a process known as letterpress printing. First, individual letters are machined into metal type pieces, typically brass, which are then assembled into blocks of text. These blocks of text are then locked into a press, which applies pressure to the inked type, transferring the image onto a blanket, itself printing onto a sheet of paper. This process was commonly used in the past for printing books, newspapers, and other printed materials. Letterpress printing has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years due to its unique aesthetic and artisanal quality. This form of sculpture combines the timeless beauty of ancient literature with modern artistic techniques.
